chardonnay : Arnaud de Villeneuve Rivesaltes Ambre Hors D'Age 1982chardonnaychardonnay A bit of left field oddity, and something I actually bought for Xmas to be with Xmas pud – which was a fantastic pairing. Its a nice dark brown amber color, the label on the bottle sums it up quite succinctly; complex fruit & spice flavors, sweet but not cloying. Can also pick up dried oranges and a nice smoked almond flavor, like Disaronio. 16% alcohol, so really a fortified wine, probably a bit old now but still very entertaining.
